The journey to experience the quality and taste of Mediterranean fruits and vegetables!
Horticultural products such as tomato, cucumber, pepper and eggplant, as well as fruits such as Kaki fruit, grown in sunny Mediterranean countries, they are important components of the Mediterranean diet and the European consumer chooses them both for their nutritional value and for their characteristic taste.
The nutritional advantages and the incomparable taste of the above products promoted in the markets of Greece, Spain, of Germany and Hungary in the framework of the European program entitled “Information and promotion actions for fruit and vegetables in the EU internal market” with the distinctive title MEDITERRANEAN COMBO, which is co-financed by the European Union and is a transnational cooperation program (Greece, Spain).
The educational journey, held from November 27 to December 1, 2023, in Valencia, Spain, was a remarkable experience for journalists from Germany, Hungary and Greece. Exploring the persimmon producing areas, they gained knowledge of production methods and discovered the exceptional quality of the persimmons grown in these areas.
