Enjoy European Fruits & Vegetables

This is the second year a press event dedicated to the MEDITERRANEAN COMBO program was held in Berlin. On Wednesday, 8th of February 2023, at the Hotel Palace Berlin, opinion leaders, journalists, buyers, and distributors from the agricultural sector had the opportunity to be informed about the promoted products of the European campaign MEDITERRANEAN COMBO.

The event’s main speaker, Ms. Christina Andreakou, journalist in Froutonea Magazine, presented updated data about the production, and the export destinations of the campaign’s products. From the side of the beneficiaries of the program, Mr. Kaparakis Emmanouil, member of the board of the Agricultural Cooperative “Anatoli” – Ierapetra Crete, and Mr. Lluis Perez, marketing manager of the Spanish Association of Kaki, presented valuable information regarding the products, the agricultural production methods of EU agrifood products, the
production units in Greece and Spain and their export orientation. Moreover, the event honored with his presence Mr. Theodoros Xypolias, Minister Counselor of Economic &
Commercial Affairs from the Embassy of Greece in Berlin, who also made a short greeting to

At the same time, from the 8th to the 10th of February 2023, the MEDITERRANEAN COMBO
program participated in Fruit Logistica (Hall 8.2 / Stand B31), sharing knowledge about the
quality and safety of European fruits and vegetables.
The promotional program entitled “Information provision and promotion measures on fruits
and vegetables in the internal market of EU” with the distinctive title “Mediterranean Combo

Top Quality Fruits & Vegetables from Europe” promotes vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers,
peppers, and eggplants) and fruits (kaki fruit-persimmon), to the target countries Greece,
Spain, Germany and Hungary, and aims to raise awareness and inform the consumers on the
quality and safety of European fruits and vegetables, as well as to increase the sales and
exports of the promoted products.
