A press event was held in Budapest, on Wednesday the 23rd of March 2022 at the Mamaison Hotel Andrassy Budapest. Guests from Budapest’s food sector, F&B wholesale industry and journalists from the local media had the opportunity to taste and learn the quality characteristics of the European fruits and vegetables.
Mrs. Katerina Michou – Project Manager of NOVACERT LTD, the Implementing Body of the promotional campaign, made a short introduction and informed the guests about the MEDITERRANEAN COMBO program.
Mr. Doukas Marinopoulos from the Greek Embassy in Budapest, Head of Economic & Commercial Affairs section, honored the event with his presence and also addressed a short greeting to the event.
Mr. Douloumis Xenofon, member of the board of Agricultural Cooperative “Anatoli” – Ierapetra Crete, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries of the program, sharing the most important topics on the agricultural cooperation and the promotional campaign. He also discussed the quality and safety of the European Vegetables and the technologically advanced production methods.
Finally, Mr. Akos Milassin, Assistant Professor at University of Physical Education who specializes in recreational processes and a healthy lifestyle through sports and meals, spoked about the nutritional benefits of European fruits and vegetables.
Following the presentations, a dinner with dishes comprised of European fruits and vegetables summed-up the actions of the night!
At the same time, from the 22nd to the 24th of March, the program participated at Sirha Budapest Exhibition (Hungexpo, Hall A F3), sharing the knowledge and passion for superior quality of the European fruits and vegetables production!
The promotional program entitled “Information provision and promotion measures on fruits and vegetables in the internal market of EU” with the distinctive title “Mediterranean Combo – Top Quality Fruits & Vegetables from Europe” aims to spread awareness among consumers in the targeted countries, and also among professionals such as food experts, distributors and wholesalers regarding the production of European fruits and vegetables of unparalleled quality and taste, which are produced in accordance with the strictest safety standards.
